Work is changing faster than many organizations can keep up with. Artificial intelligence is reshaping how work gets done. Hybrid work has become the default operating model for many teams. At the same time, leaders are navigating economic uncertainty and an increasingly polarized social and political environment. The result is a leadership landscape that feels more complex and demanding than ever.

In this session, workforce solutions expert Chris Carlson and leadership advisor Jason Lauritsen will explore four leadership imperatives that matter most in this environment: clarity, alignment, curiosity, and relationships. Together, they will examine why these capabilities are becoming essential and what leaders can do to strengthen them inside their organizations. Participants will leave with practical ideas for improving how they lead, how they hire and develop talent, and how they create conditions where people can perform at their best.

Chris Carlson-Dennell Bio

Chris Carlson is a seasoned executive with three decades of experience in the search and staffing industry. As Vice President at The Reserves Network, she leads divisions specializing in Accounting & Finance, Executive & Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Administrative, and Industrial search and staffing. Known for her strategic vision and passion for building high-performing tenured teams at both the local and national level, Chris has partnered with organizations across all industries to enhance productivity and profitability through innovative workforce solutions. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is a Certified Personnel Consultant. Outside of work, Chris enjoys boating, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Dan, and their two children.

Jason Lauritsen Bio

Jason Lauritsen is the CEO of Connected Performance Group and an advisor to leaders who are tired of choosing between results and their people. A former corporate executive, he developed the Connected Performance System to help leaders fix the systems that drive performance by strengthening connection at work. Jason is the author of Unlocking High Performance and a keynote speaker known for pairing provocative insight with practical guidance leaders can use immediately.
