RISE - Escalate Your Power as a DEI Leader

Let’s acknowledge the truth about what DEI is up against. Performative inclusion, ambiguous goals, inadequate resources, veiled resistance, and numerous other complexities are at play. Navigating these aspects of transformational change requires ingenuity, courage, and resilience (not to mention a solid burnout prevention strategy). But what’s really at the heart of this work is power. 

Learning about the nature of power and exploring ways to amplify our influence is critical to our success as DEI leaders. We must be intentional and strategic about leveraging power dynamics if we are to architect meaningful and lasting change. 

This session is designed to help DEI Leaders Recognize, Influence, Structure, and Elevate power. It will offer: 

  • Clarity about the definition, true nature, and types of power
  • Techniques for identifying power dynamics and influencing power shifts
  • Strategic perspective for structuring more powerful DEI solutions
  • Tactics to increase personal power, prevent burnout and sustain energy
