2026 Candidate Academy

Description

Public service starts with people willing to bring their perspective, skills, and ideas to the table. 

The Greater Omaha Chamber is seeking applicants for our second Candidate Academy class, a leadership program designed to develop a bipartisan group of candidates and potential candidates ready to pursue public office. Strong representation in government is essential to creating better public policy that reflects the diverse voices and experiences across our community. 

Candidates for Class Two will be selected through a competitive application process. We're seeking individuals who demonstrate genuine community involvement, leadership potential, and a clear vision for public service in Greater Omaha.

Over three sessions in November and December, participants will build a foundation for getting started in public office and form connections that provide ongoing support along the way.

2026 Candidate Academy Sessions:

Nov. 12 - 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Nov. 19 - 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Dec. 2 - 5:00-7:00 p.m.
