Description
Your organization already built a culture. It was built out of decisions nobody called culture decisions: who gets asked into the room, who gets told afterward, who gets promoted, who gets left to figure it out alone.
Belonging is not given. It is also not accidental. It is the output of an equation your organization is already running, and that equation is already returning an answer about who is held here and who is merely tolerated. So who built the one you are already running?
Greater Omaha’s own Brain Drain and Perception Study named diversity, alongside wages and connectivity, as one of three places this region trails the metros it competes with for talent. The measurement has already been taken. The question is what this room does with it.
Christopher Bylone, Certified Diversity Executive and the architect of the belonging formula, walks the equation component by component: inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility, and the justice that decides how far any of it reaches. Then he moves it off the org chart. Belonging is built in six arenas of a life, and the two that break the same way are work and learning. Every design failure in one shows up in the other. Your people carry both through your front door every morning.
Ninety minutes. You will leave knowing what your organization built, who it currently holds, and the one behavior that changes the answer.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Name the specific decisions in their own organization that built its current culture, including the ones nobody labeled a culture decision
- Apply the belonging formula to one real condition in their workplace and identify which component is carrying the weight and which one is missing
- Commit publicly to one standard they will hold in their organization, and name the person who will know whether they held it
