As summer starts to wind down, another school year is right around the corner. For students and staff, that means getting back into classrooms, hallways, gyms, cafeterias, bathrooms, locker rooms, and all the other spaces that make up their school day.
The end of summer also marks the completion of another busy season working in schools for our team at JC Toland Painting.
Summer provides a crucial window for school districts to complete painting, maintenance, renovations, and larger construction projects while these facilities have fewer students and staff inside. Our crews stay busy throughout those few short months, helping districts make the most of that time and prepare their facilities for the year ahead.

There is a lot that happens behind the scenes to keep an educational facility looking good and performing the way it should.
Some of the projects we’ve completed this summer involved refreshing paint in classrooms, hallways, and common areas, performing metal stud framing and drywall installation, roof coatings, ACT installation, specialty coatings, vinyl wall coverings, and more.
Regardless of the scope, these projects share one important deadline: students are coming back.
Our crews work alongside districts, general contractors, facility teams, and other trades to keep projects moving in a timely manner and help get spaces ready before the first bell rings.
This summer, we’ve had the opportunity to work on projects with school districts and educational facilities throughout the state, including:
Each district, building, and project comes with its own needs. We appreciate the trust these schools place in our team to work within their spaces and help complete the improvements happening throughout their facilities.
And our work isn’t finished quite yet! We’re also looking forward to upcoming projects with Clear Creek Amana Community School District and Monticello Community School District in the coming weeks.

Schools are some of the most heavily used buildings in our communities. The work completed during summer break has to hold up to busy hallways, packed classrooms, athletic events, activities, staff, students, and visitors throughout the year.
That’s why proper preparation, quality materials, and experienced installation matter.
At JC Toland, we’ve worked in educational facilities of all sizes, from individual renovation projects to large additions and new construction. Our goal is to provide dependable commercial construction services while working within the schedules and requirements that come with active educational environments.
As another summer season comes to a close, we want to thank all of the districts, general contractors, facility teams, and project partners who have trusted JC Toland to be a small part of preparing these spaces for another year.
To students, teachers, administrators, and staff: have a great school year!
