ONE PLANT Documentary

Join us in person for a reception and an inspiring screening of ONE PLANT – a captivating documentary that dives deep into the world of hemp. For more than a century, one of humanity’s most versatile plants was pushed to the margins of society. Today, that is beginning to change. Across agriculture, medicine, sustainability, and industry, hemp is re-emerging as a solution to some of our biggest challenges. ONE PLANT explores this turning point, examining the plant’s history, its modern applications, and what its future could mean for our health and the environment. The evening will bring together film, conversation, and community around the role hemp can play in Nebraska’s agricultural future.

The event will begin with a reception from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the 90-minute film screening. A Q&A session will take place from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Organizers are inviting attendees to join a broader discussion about hemp in Nebraska, for farmers, for rural Nebraska, and for the future of agriculture in our state. The project explores the plant’s role across agriculture, sustainability, industry, and health, while highlighting the people working to reshape the conversation around it.
