Omaha, NE - August 25, 2025 – Pawprints on the Lawn, a new community memorial event, invites pet owners to gather in remembrance of their animal companions on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Forever Friends Pet Cemetery, located within Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

This gentle gathering will feature readings, moments of reflection, and opportunities to celebrate the unconditional love and joy that pets bring to our lives. The event is open to all who have experienced the loss of a pet, whether recent or long ago.

“Pets leave lasting pawprints on our hearts, and this event provides a space for our community to come together in both remembrance and celebration,” said Kat Frizzell, event organizer. “We want people to feel comfort in knowing they’re not alone in their grief and to honor the joy pets have brought into their lives.”

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors. Pets are welcome in outdoor areas of the cemetery.
