Employer Coalition (POWER Series) - Job Hopping De-Bunked: Maybe it's not the red flag it used to be?

Description

Led by Joleen Hueftle, this session will focus on candidates' work history and the impact that 'job hopping' has on talent acquisition and hiring teams' perceptions. Attendees will discuss what being a job hopper means, the negative perception associated with it, and the challenges occurring from the way we're screening candidate resumes. Joleen emphasizes that we as organizations need to lean into the current tenure trends and adapt accordingly. Joleen and attendees will walk through what the benefits of 'healthy' job hopping might look like, what we don't see on candidate resumes, and what we can do to lean in - including discussion surrounding succession plans, pipelining, and internal programs relating to early talent, career changers, and transfer or rotation options.

Joleen Hueftle Bio

Joleen is the Chief Talent Officer at Omni Ag Consulting, a small agriculture recruiting and consulting partnership. With over a decade of experience in Talent Acquisition, she has built a career helping organizations attract, develop, and retain top talent. Before joining Omni Ag Consulting, Joleen led Talent Acquisition and Compensation for the U.S. region of Viterra (now Bunge), a global leader in commodity trading, grain storage, and distribution. 

Her expertise spans coast to coast, with a particular focus on early talent and campus recruitment, alongside traditional full-cycle organizational hiring. She has successfully designed, built, and executed internship and entry-level talent development programs, and is passionate about partnering with organizational leaders and HR teams nationwide to create impactful, sustainable talent strategies.
